About Us

The Plan Review team is a division of the Fire Marshal’s Office under the direction of one Chief Fire Inspector two Sr. Fire Inspectors, and we have eleven Fire Inspectors who conduct plan review and perform field inspections.

Mission and Responsibilities

Our customers have goals and deadlines to meet. It is our mission to help them achieve those goals and meet their deadlines while at the same time protecting the citizens of Houston through reviewing and inspecting fire protection systems and enforcing the various city ordinances, codes, and standards.

Our Fire Inspectors are certified by the Texas Commission on Fire Protection and strive to treat our customers and the citizens of Houston with excellence and professionalism.

Our Plan Review Fire Inspectors are dedicated to serving our customers needs as well as protecting the Citizens of Houston by working in conjunction with the building department to provide expeditious service.
